Hi everyone. Please come out this Monday to a public meeting and help put a stop to the purposed berth 4 project on Staten Island. The project would drain or fill-in 17 acres of supposedly protected coastal wetlands so as to allow the expansion of the New York Container Terminal.
For more info and the shoddy environmental impact statement go to: http://www.nycedc.com/ProjectsOpportunities/CurrentProjects/StatenIsland/NewYorkContainerTerminalExpansion/Pages/NewYorkContainerTerminalExpansion.aspx
The meeting is Monday April 5, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the changed venue: Wagner College, Spiro Hall, 1 Campus Road, Staten Island.
I need people to help me document this intervention, either video or photo, as well as people to sign-up at the meeting and speak on behalf of Arlington Marsh. Please let me know as soon as you can if you are able to join me. Call 917-478-0689 or send me an e-mail.
Thanks,
Aidan
