Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum

Two Thursdays ago, we jokingly entertained the idea of setting up a trampoline indoors somewhere. Well, that's exactly what the Guggenheim is doing as part of its exhibit, Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Guggenheim has been accepting proposals from artists as to how to fill the void in the rotunda of the museum, and this exhibit is the culmination of the most provocative themes that surfaced from the two hundred proposals received. View the online exhibit here for examples of other interventions. While not exactly a case study of tactical media, a lot of these proposals/pieces serve as an inspiration in rethinking and reclaiming space.
